What to Expect/Tips

Take our hand, there's nothing to be afraid of here...

Whether you are brand-new to the Gulf Breeze community, or even if you’ve been here for a long time, Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church is a place where you can meet people, get connected, and build authentic relationships—with God and others.

Being part of a biblically functioning community is what church is all about. But with dozens of ministries and thousands of people, getting connected at Gulf Breeze can sometimes seem overwhelming. But it’s easier than you think! We strive to make this place feel like home. Just stop by a Welcome Center in our courtyard (Fairpoint Campus) or in the lobby (Soundside Campus) for more information and some goodies!  We've got a lot of people who attend our different services, but we are smaller than you think!

What to expect

Sunday worship is central to who we are as a family of faith. There are seven services every Sunday. On the Fairpoint Campus (75 Fairpoint Drive), the 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.services are traditional. The 9:30 a.m. service is contemporary and informal in its style.

At the Soundside Campus, (Highway 98 and Soundside Drive), both the 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services offer our most informal and relaxed worship experience.

Worship at the Water is the place to go to church in your shorts, flip-flops, and suntan lotion!  Located on Pensacola Beach at Flounders Restaurant during the summer months, it is our most informal experience.  We still preach strong biblical truth, but some people listen to it sitting on beach chairs in the sand.

If you have any questions, feel free to click to the staff page and email us. To learn more about what our church offers outside of Sunday morning worship, visit each of the ministry sections of our website.

Tips for Attending

Maybe you are returning to church, or coming to church for the very first time. You may feel like people are watching you or maybe that people will judge you. "Will the preacher condemn me from the stage?"  "Will people judge me if I look differently than they do?" A few tips to help you when you visit one of our Gulf Breeze worship experiences:

-Feel free to come casual or dressy. We have no dress code - whatever makes you comfortable is great with us.

-Sit anywhere you like, there are no assigned seats.

-Beware of friendly people - someone WILL speak to you.

-Your kids will be safe and they'll have fun. Our ministry teams are well trained to provide the best possible care for your kids.  Background checks are done on anyone who works with our children

-We are not after your money! Guests are encouraged to enjoy the visit with NO obligation to give.

Gulf Breeze is not a perfect church, but we strive to make environments where imperfect people are made to feel welcome.  We want to shower you with God's love, but we won't embarass you or try to make you feel uncomfortable.  We've got good things for your kids and teens to be involved in.  We would love to see you this Sunday!
